Meet the Photographer
Hey, I'm Bekah
I’ve been a full-time senior and family photographer for five years now, serving the Metro Detroit area. This is a second career for me- out of college I worked in the Crossfit Apparel business and eventually took over as the brand photographer, teaching myself the basics through YouTube and podcasts. Each week I would organize a photoshoot at a local gym showcasing the apparel on their athletes. I loved the creative challenge and decided to branch out.
At the time I was also coaching track and weightlifting at Salem High School, so venturing in to senior photos was natural for me. I found I had a lot to chat about with grads and planning these dream sessions was a lot of fun. Today, I photograph 100+ seniors a year from dozens of different schools. These families love my planning guides, easy booking system, fast turnaround time for images and posing guidance throughout their entire session.
Sometimes moms reach out ahead of time wondering whether I’d be a good fit for their teen or family — whether that’s a shy personality, neurodivergence, disabilities, LGBTQ+ grads, or other unique situations. I work with all kinds of personalities and needs, and I’m always happy to meet people where they are to create a session experience that feels comfortable, relaxed, and true to them.
At home, my life is busy with two toddlers, an amazing husband, two big dogs, and plenty of chaos. When I’m not photographing sessions, you’ll probably find me at the gym lifting, reading the latest Emily Henry novel, working on marketing ideas, or sneaking in a date night in downtown Plymouth.
Being a photographer- I obviously love photos and the memories they hold. Below are some of my favorites! I've worn many hats over the years and I'd love to hear what we have in common at your next session!
