Early summer is one of my favorite times for senior photos in Ann Arbor, and this session at Matthaei Botanical Gardens was the perfect example of why. The peony gardens were in full bloom, creating a soft, colorful, and dreamy backdrop that feels straight out of a summer editorial. We started among the lush flowers for classic garden senior portraits, then headed to Graffiti Alley in downtown Ann Arbor to add a bold, urban contrast. Mixing floral locations with a creative city spot is one of my favorite ways to give seniors a gallery that feels unique and full of variety.
This early summer senior session was all about color, personality, and a relaxed, easy experience. From blooming peonies and greenery to vibrant murals and textured walls, each location brought a different feel while still keeping everything cohesive. If you’re searching for flower-filled senior photo ideas, botanical garden senior portraits, or creative urban senior photos in Ann Arbor, this combination of locations is a beautiful option.
